Summer Intern - Strategy & Operations - AI Coordinator

DataHouse Consulting, Inc. is seeking a motivated and analytical Strategy & Operations – AI Coordinator Summer Intern to join DataHouse Consulting. This internship offers hands-on experience helping coordinate IT consulting projects and operations, while leveraging AI tools to streamline operational processes, create client-ready deliverables, internal knowledge bases, and drive data-informed decisions in a professional consulting environment.

At DataHouse, interns are active contributors. You will work alongside project managers, business analysts, technical teams, and clients to ensure projects stay on track, while pioneering AI-first workflows that make our delivery smarter and faster.

Upon exceptional completion of the Summer Internship program, some participants may be invited to continue employment with DataHouse.

Internship Length: 8 Weeks (June/July)

Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time (to be discussed)

Location: Onsite in Honolulu

Anticipated Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

What You Will Do

Project Coordination & Client Support

  • Support planning, tracking, and coordination of IT consulting projects with team in support for 1 or more clients
  • Maintain project schedules, task lists, risk logs, and various forms of documentation
  • Prepare agendas, take notes, and track action items for internal and client meetings

AI-Enabled Operations & Analysis

  • Use LLMs (Claude, Copilot), prompt engineering to generate project artifacts, summaries, and presentations
  • Analyze project data from Jira, spreadsheets, and reports to surface risks, trends, and opportunities
  • Document and share AI workflows that improve team efficiency and delivery quality
  • Support creation of client-ready deliverables projects (decision logs, status decks, requirements summaries) or internal knowledge bases in support of product and

Process Improvement

  • Support COO and coordinate with engineers, analysts, and vendors to maintain process and project alignment to standards
  • Help maintain PMO standards, tools, and reporting processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and AI experimentation

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in MIS, Business, Information Systems, Data Science, Economics, CS, or related field
  • 0-1 years experience in project coordination, operations, or analysis (campus projects count)
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) for school/work projects
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written/verbal communication; comfortable summarizing complex info simply
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and collaboration tools
  • Eager to learn consulting operations and AI-first workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum concepts or IT consulting processes
  • Experience analyzing data to support business decisions
  • Interest in project management, business analysis, or AI operations careers

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and via virtual collaboration tools
  • May occasionally lift and carry items such as laptops or materials (up to 15 pounds)
  • Ability to move within an office setting to attend meetings and collaborate with team members
